YouTube Insists on the Mistake

They don’t learn. They keep uploading videos calling “choripán” things that aren’t.

The Problematic Video

The Crime of Loose Meat

In this video, the author claims their favorite sandwich is choripán, but immediately commits sacrilege: uses loose ground chorizo meat.

Why is this heresy? The choripán is named after the CHORIZO, which is a sausage. The casing serves a vital function: keeps juices and fat concentrated while grilling.

If you take the meat out of the casing and treat it like a deconstructed burger or “Sloppy Joe”:

  1. You lose texture: No more “crack” when biting the crispy skin.
  2. You lose juice: Fat escapes and meat dries out.
  3. You lose honor: You’re eating a ground-meat sandwich with paprika.

Authenticity Checklist:

  • Argentine pork chorizo? NO, loose ground meat.
  • On a charcoal grill? NO, looks like a pan.
  • French bread? Doubtful.
  • Visible chimichurri? Something green is there, but no guarantees.

The Production Problem

Because someone will watch this video, come to Argentina, and say:

“I want a choripán like the one in the video”

And when we give them a REAL choripán, they’ll say:

“No, this isn’t it. The video one was different”

Exactly. Because the video one was FAKE.

Necessary Education

Attention content creators:

Before making a choripán video:

  1. Google “authentic Argentine choripán”
  2. Read 3 articles on this site
  3. Talk to an Argentine
  4. Try a real one
  5. THEN make your video

Reactions

“They have a better camera than my videos but worse choripán” - Don Carlos, 65, El Choricito

“4K doesn’t fix the heresy” - Matías, 28, Villa Crespo

“MasterChef-level production, kindergarten-level knowledge” - Ana, 40, Palermo

Verdict

Heresy level: 🔥🔥🔥🔥 4/5 fires

Aggravator: Good production = more people fooled

Sentence: Remake the video with REAL choripán, or channel deletion.

For Content Creators

If you’re going to make Argentine food content:

  1. Research (5 minutes of Google)
  2. Consult (talk to an Argentine)
  3. Try it (eat the real dish)

Or just DON’T DO IT.

The world has enough culinary disinformation.
