The Irish Heresy

@oflynnssausages decided they could make “choripán”. Spoiler: they can’t.

The Video of Shame

What’s Wrong Here?

EVERYTHING. Absolutely everything.

Problems identified:

  1. ❌ Irish sausage (not Argentine chorizo)
  2. ❌ Probably industrial bread
  3. ❌ No charcoal grill
  4. ❌ Chimichurri non-existent or fake
  5. ❌ Made in Ireland (3,000 km from Argentina)

Why This Is NOT Choripán

Argentine chorizo ≠ Irish sausage

Argentine chorizo is:

  • Coarse-ground pork meat
  • Paprika, garlic, Argentine spices
  • Fat that drips everywhere
  • Cooked on charcoal grill 15-20 minutes

An Irish sausage is:

  • Who knows what’s in it
  • Tastes like fog and rain
  • Probably pan-fried
  • Probably soft bread

The Defense (Non-existent)

There’s no possible defense. This is like:

  • Making fish & chips with surubí
  • Calling Fernet “whiskey”
  • Saying Guinness is Malbec wine

Reactions from Argentines

“But what the hell is this bro” - AllArgentines, 2026

“Call the Argentine embassy in Dublin” - Martín, 42, Constitución

“My great-grandfather came from Italy to Argentina to NOT see this” - Patricia, 55, La Boca

Final Verdict

Heresy level: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 5/5 fires

Sentence: Forbidden to call it choripán. It can be:

  • “Irish sausage sandwich”
  • “Banger in a bun”
  • “Whatever this is”

But NEVER choripán.

Choripán is Argentine. Period.
